HOW TO APPLY

Thurgood Marshall Academy admits new 6th graders each fall through the DOE application process.  
Applications are available at your current school in late November, and are due in December.  
If you have any questions, please contact our Parent Coordinator.

Admitted students are required to attend a 5-week summer enrichment institute prior to commencing 6th grade in the fall.

For students applying to high school, Thurgood Marshall Academy has a screened school selection method for 9th grade.  
Priority is given to continuing eligible 8th graders, then to District 5 residents, then to Manhattan residents
